I pulled out some tooth pics, Oil eater and went to town on the two spare Auxiliary Air Control Valves. I noticed after cleaning one of them that the chamber which lets the air into the engine doesn't have a tight seal. I mean its tight enough that the water (What I used to test it) escapes very slowly. But I was under the impression that no air should escape whats so ever. I am not 100% sure it makes a difference but for the time I spent on it I want to be sure that mine is working fine. But what makes me not car is that it opens and closes multiple times a second so I doubt a tiny amount of air escaping is going to make a difference. The seal part is plastic and the enclosure is aluminum.

I will post pictures later but for now I am a bit light headed from the brake parts cleaner I used.

That brake parts cleaner really did a number on my brain cells... There will be air that escapes into the part where air enters the engine to keep it running because the bypass screw has to be turned out ~2.5 turns. Meaning there will never be a air tight seal in the chamber which supplies air to the engine.

Now the gasket that seals the Auxiliary Air Control Valve to the back of the plenum must have a good seal or else there will be a vacuum leak, (Extra air entering the engine thats not through the MAF sensor (The part that tells the engine how much air is entering the engine)).

So the first post can be ignored.
