is the 2nd gen g20 a good car?

A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

i'm thinking of selling my '89 sohc-t hatch in order to get a '99 or so g20. i've always liked that way they look and they seem like nice cars. u can get them around here for around 5k. and they look very nice with a good set of wheels and a mean stance. so motor, electrical equipment, aftermarket? what do u guys feel about this whip? oh, do they only come automatic? what engine do they come with?

P11 G20s come with a 5spd manual or an autotragic transmission connected to a transverse SR20DE (the G20 moniker starts to make sense now). Note that it's the late US SR with roller rockers and more power, but a lower redline of 6750. I think the 5spd models have a VLSD.

They're good cars. Solidly built, comfortable, good gas mileage. The aftermarket is pretty decent as well. Bolt on engine mods are shared with the B15 Sentra SE and there are a couple suspension options along with brakes, wheels, tires, etc.
