hey every one. i am in the processes of figuring out what rwd car to get for a project. i have already asked about an ae86 on a forum and they said that i might like a 240sx or a bmw 325is e30. i already have a 1988 vw scirocco 16valve and i really like it. i guess i would have to have some idea of what they are like to work on. the only nissan that i have ever worked on was my moms 93 sentra se-r. it was not the worst. i hate my brothers toyota camery and the dodge stratus r/t a lot more. will i be looking at the same basic stuff, fifth gear pop out for instance and an over crowded engine bay? i would like a car that is relatively easy to work on and get parts for. one of the biggest things that i would want to know is how hard would it be to put a sr engine in one of these cars? any way, thanks for your advice and any recommendations would be great. thanks

Crowded engine bay? No, it comes with a 4 cylinder and can fit Inline 6 and V8's no problem.

Easier to work on than most.

Parts are everywhere, look in the nissans for sale, its almost all 240sx's.

Easy to put an SR in a DOHC chassis, or you could just buy one with it in already.

E30 BMW are pretty awesome cars also, but if I were to put effort into one, I'd want it to be an M3.

Any other concerns?

Also if you like your Sciracco, why not swap a VR6 turbo it or G60 with a BB screw comp on it.

hey newb be easy on the nweb. to the op. there is info all over the place for sr swaps. (and dont jump right on the sr band wagon take your time there are so many swaps.) as far as a 240 for your rwd project. any rwd car is easy-er then any fwd to work on, my .02 cents. for the most part they are very easy to work on. and for finding parts if i can find parts where im at you can to. but most aftermaket will half to be orderd. they are fun cars with lots of diffrent ways you can mod them to fit your.

240sx's are very easy to work on.Ive swapped an RB25 into two separate 240sx's and they were really really easy.Alot easier then my 3000GT and its FWD.

As far as the SR goes, its pretty much a bolt in swap minus the wiring.Of course you'll have your intercooler etc... but as far as mounts go its a direct fit.
