I ride a '91 240sx automatic (ick), but today I got to take my brother's little "weiner-civic-mobile" for a short spin. It's a 5 speed (I miss those) and the gas pedal on it seemed a LOT more responsive than mine. It went to 3k rpm almost instantly whereas my car would be at about 2k if I pushed the pedal in the same manner. Are Hondas supposed to be more responsive? Is something wrong with my car?? Other than it not being a manual?

Note: The "weiner-civic-mobile" is for sale...if you need a daily driving vehicle or something.

I think it is depends on model and brand of the car. When I was driving my friends Civic Si I thought the same thing. Also, u drive auto normally and switch to dirve manual. this way u can feel def. differences. I would say most manual old car resposes faster than same model and year of automatic car!! I dont think u should worry about it at all!!But dont take my opinion as 100% sure, see other NICO members opinion also!!

Old? It's an '02! That might have something to do with it too, though.
