is my turbo going?

aight im still working the kinks out on my sr swap. Its a s13 sr blacktop, full exhaust except for a 2.5 inch apexi n1 evo catback, stage 2 clutch, fidanza flywheel, greddy m-spec, greddy rs bov, boost and oil pressure gauges, greddy prof B spec II ebc, apexi turbo timer etc. The car seems like its running fine but when i get on the throttle its smoking like crazy..before one of my injectors werent working so number 2 cylinder wasnt firing. I jus got my new ones installed them its running better but like i said its smoking when i get on the throttle, iim thinkin its my turbo but its still boosting..anyone kno what the problem can be? My turbo exhaust gasket is blown..Im going to change that when i get out of work today but would that make it smoke like that?

Does it smoke when you hit boost?? Off boost?? If it smoke when you start boosting, its probably the turbo......seals perhaps

yea it smokes when i hit boost n when im slowing down jus gettin off it..I kno i have to change one of my turbo gaskets..would a bad turbo gasket hat make it smoke like that?

In my expirience with blown turbos, you should expirience some more symptoms than just smoke. On mine, it would sputter badly when I would cruise with my foot at a constant throttle. Mine also put out a small amount of smoke at idle. Hope that helps...

did it still spool?? because mine smokes when boosting..but still spools..my boost gauge only shows 5 psi at the max tho for some reason..

Yes mine still spooled and all, I had just blown the seals so I was getting oil in my intake charge. Take off your hot pipe to your intercooler and see if there's any oil in it. Then you can see at least where your problem is originating. If there is no oil, your problem is in the motor itself. If there is oil, it's most likely your turbo.

there is a little oil on the intake piping that connects to the maf, and air filter..im pretty sure its the seals..

You should not have oil in there. There is no way that the turbo could throw oil in that pipe. I have no idea why there would be oil in there.

nah it wasnt inside it was around the rubber pipping on the outside maybe it came from some where else and was just on there..i didnt really check everything out yet..but i have off work tomorrow ill take a look and let you guys kno...i kno there was a little oil around the coupling that goes from the turbo to the hot pipe..but jus a little ring..im going to check everything out tomorrow and ill let you kno for sure..thanks for your help so far..
