When I owned my 91, the entire middle console would be hot to the touch. My 94, doesn't seem that bad. On the right (passanger) side, however the bottom side part of the console is hot, so much so it makes the side of the seat warm. I do live in Arizona, the temps are increasing, but even when it's cooler out, you can feel the heat. Doesn't seem like mechanical parts should be subjected to this heat repeatedly. Should I have a transmission cooler installed asap? If so, where can I order it from. Or could i just take it to a good shop, would they know where to order it from?

I have a trannycooler on my car - You're welcome to check out the installation or I could have my mechanic do it for you for cheap.

B&M #70268 is the best fit and can be bought at Checker or other autoparts stores.

Feel free to email me for my cell to discuss.

I bought a "16000 GVW" truck towing transmission cooler. Its quite large (the guy at the parts store asked me a few times if I was sure), and was only $35. Installation with fluids and miscellaneous parts was $97 ($50/hr rate). Other options in the performance catalog that my mechanic showed me included a transmission cooler with a fan ($100+).
