i just got a 95 240sx se. 1st gear was grinding but i figured it was because there is no 1st gear synchro (is this right?) but a lot of times it still grinds and wont go in even when i am completly stopped and the clutch is to the floor. some of the other gears grind very small amounts and engage, only when i am stopped, no troubles when driving. anyone know what the problem could be?

95? How many miles? How much 'racing' do you do? Do you take off fast alot? Do you ever grind gears?

It sounds like a clutch to me, unless you have alot of miles and race alot, even then, it sounds like the clutch.

If the clutch isn't releasing all the way it is usually are result of the master or the slave going bad.

Since we have hydrolic clutches try adjusting the clutch pedal. If that doesnt solve your problem then try the slave.
