What? I mean, what are you asking dude. Money spent on aftermarket parts generally gives you more hp. Is it worth it? It all depends on how you want to spend your money.. If you like making a fast car faster, then by all means, buy stuff and put it on your car. If you would rather save for a house payment, or to get that operation that you need then maybe you shouldnt drop the cash on your car.

I believe the question was more along the lines of whether he should just do a swap rather than working on his engine.

In answer, it depends on a lot of things. Do you have a KA24E or DE? How many miles do you have on your engine? What sort of power delivery are you looking for (high end or low end)? What are your emissions laws like? There are a lot more questions to ask as well.

Personally, I'm in CA, where emissions laws are strict. I like the low end grunt and sound that the KA has. I have a SOHC enigne right now with a lot of miles on it. My plan, at the moment, is to swap in a later model KA and turbo it.

Not a very technical question. Even with over $2000 into your sohc ka you probably wouldn't even reach 200bhp. Or, you could take that $2000 and swap and end up with a little over 200bhp to start, and a whole lot more with easily available parts.
