Is my RB26 actually an R33 or still an R32 as always assumed?

Discuss the RB20, RB25 and RB26 series engines.

My motor is complete torn down ready to go to the machine shop, but I need a new crank pulley...and since the R32 and R33 crank pullies are different because of the PS pump, I need to know, for sure, what motor I have.

Based on the ecu (MEC-R282....05U62) it is a 93+ R32 ecu, which coincides with the fact that I have a crankshaft that doesn't need to be collar'd (late model R32)...but after looking at Booztd3's motor in his thread, I can't find a difference in the PS pumps. So if someone wants to take a look and let me know for sure it would be awesome.

r32, but if you're getting a new crank pulley get an r33 or an rb25 one and a matching pump without hicas.

yea thats an r32 you can tell by the hicas powersteering pump you will need the r33 rb26 crank pulley and p/s pump or rb25 crank pulley and p/s pump if you want power steering. would you want to sell you oem rb26 raidiatior hoses by any chance?

I assume the PS pump setup is very similar to the HICAS pump on S13s. If so there are write-ups on how to remove the rear pump impeller to remove the rear steering.

The 300ZX guys just switch to a non-turbo model which didnt have HICAS. You also run a non-turbo PS Resevoir. Then you need to purchase an eliminator bar which locks in the rear tie-rods so they cant move

You wouldn't believe the trouble I am having finding a main pulley. I found a R33 pulley, but haven't been able to find a R33 pump....and there are no R32 pulley's to be found...except in aus or uk where it is about $100 for shipping.
