As you all have seen, I had Nissan do a goodwill on the previous repair that costed me $1100. Not even a month after that repair we have another massive issue.

Let me introduce you to our main characters: Electronic Parking Brake idiot light, my bank account, a greedy crapsan stealership, my OBD2 reader, and my 2019 Nissan Rogue SV.

First time said idiot light came up was approximately around USA's Independence Day. It went off its own, but during that time, Brake hold and eBrake was disabled. I couldn't get the code reader in time.

Second time this happened, was at a parking garage at work. I was able to pull off the codes from the vehicle: C1BDB-12 and another one (will update once I find that code). Went to Nissan with this information and dropped off the Rogue there (at least this dealer had a shuttle, although it be of the Altima from the hood flavor). Was notified later in the day that the passenger right brake caliper is done. Part# 44001-4CA0B was ordered at $1136 USD - $70 USD for core charge. OTD price came to a whopping $1,577.34. But here is the thing: They said if this didn't fix it, they have to replace a sensor.

3rd time: This past Saturday, August 23rd 2025. Leaving my old high school after dropping off my little brother for his SAT exam. Same idiot light popped up with the same exact code: C1BDB-12. Haven't taken it in yet, as I need other opinions as well. But on the prior day August 22nd 2025, while exiting off FL-528 to get onto the Turnpike, the vehicle wasn't slowing down normally, and took an ungodly amount of force and pressure to be applied to the braking system to get the vehicle to slow down, which caused the vehicle to vibrate and shake crazily. Not sure if this has to do anything with the "brake job" that the stealership did. But unfortunately, my hands are tied with taking this pile of crap (I cannot sell this junk since my folks wants to keep this) to these greedy ahhh crapsan (sorry for those folks that loves Nissan, this ain't it) stealerships.

What can be done without spending arms and souls on this vehicle? Best option for me is to sell it for a Honda, but unfortunately this option is off the table.

NOTE: This car is regularly parked outside with the elements both at home and at my work. So, this issue isn't related to rain getting all over this, otherwise I would've noticed it long time ago with the hurricanes and whatnot we had over the years.

Well the inevitable happened. I got this same idiot light at work, after parking on a significant slope/incline. Got the same DTC codes (C1BD0-49 (Motor) & C1BDB-12 (Actuator Malfunction (RH) Short-bat)). Apparently, Nissan said I need to pay another diag fee which we don't want to do.
