is my oil pump out

wats up nico well i had a problem today i went to the store to buy some stuff. when i came out and turned my car on it started tickin or making a noise when i rev it up it was still there so i drove home like half a mile to my house. when im half ways to my house i see my oil pressure at zero. i didnt feel lost of power in my car or nothing that i notice wrong just the ticking noise, when i got home i was checking the car and found nothing. could this mean that my oil pump dosent work i need some hlp here the motor is a s13 ka24de.

any help i would apreciate thanks

NO oil press is not good bro and there could be a few thing ticking but if on oil press then that means no oil going thru the motor at all. Usually ends up being a rod knock, thats never goodIf I would of seen no oil press id turn the car of that second!But good luck.

its not the rod knock because it sounds diffrent i had a rod knock before

Don't turn on the motor again until you inspect the oil pump.

ok thanks i check the oil filter and it was dry it had some but when i took it out it didnt drip nothing like it supose to ill took everything apart time to take out the motor

well no oil for a half a mile of driving is no good period...check it out and let us know whats knockin.

Now, me and the mad scientist got to rip apart the block... and replace the piston rings you fried.

hehe but that doesn't sound good at all

well guys i replace the oil pump put everything back together and it sounds great well just like before

Why did you keep driving it home with 0 pressure.... Thats a big risk.

i kept driving it cus i dint know it was at 0 oil pressure next time something is wrong ill look at the gauge first
