hey guys .... just got another 240 the other week and had some vac issues and once fixed, it ran great..... but now im getting severe bogging and sometimes hesitation throughout the power band, sometimes it will drive fine, sometimes it will fall on its face and not accelerate at all. well all of thee ignition components are new and after inspection of the plugs, its obviously running lean... checked the fuel pressure and im getting 29 psi with vac... is that enough to cause my lean condition? when primed key on it wasnt making hardly any pressure....im pretty sure the pump is crapping out, but b4 i spend 200 bucks on a walbro and fpr.... i thought id make a post... thanks

oh and i replaced the fuel filter with a z32 unit and the car drove the same.... the newish filter i replaced had some ugly greyish black fuel come out of the input side, but nothing super ugly.... my tank is probly trashed lol

You probably need to drop your tank, clean it ,seal it, and replace your fuel pump and filter. I had this same problem with my Z.

*edit - this is what came out of my fuel filter

After the gas was drained out of the tank, it looked like muddy pond water.

change the filter again, failing pumps often leave crap in the fuel filter. filters are cheap. enjoy your car!!
