IS my friend smoking crack!!?

I have a friend who "thinks" that by putting a stock SR20 Redtop in a 240 that he wants that he will automatically run 13.4s or 13.5s, i keep telling him hes dumber than mud if he thinks that, he says that 'he knows everything about nissans" and he doesnt, so i figured i would come to you guys who im quite certain know more than he does about the topic, he also thought by putting a 5 spd in his maxima would make it run 13.9s and again i told him he was smoking crack,

His plans are to get a SR20 Redtop. put it in a 95-98 240, and run stock 13.4s, with no performance mods, and i have been in this game longer than he has and never once seen this, so if you guys could leave me some info or anything that will help me shut his ignorance up it will be greatly appreciated.

I believe a stock redtop runs a 14.5

That's some pretty good crack he's smoking if he thinks he can hit mid 13's with a stock SR. Tell him to shut up.

Stock redtop in a S14 with good tires, good clutch but without weight reduction should be mid to low 14's? After bolt-ons like FMIC, intake, turbo-back, tubular exhaust manifold, fuel pump, boost controller set at 13 or 14PSI could get him mid to low 13s. Oh LSD too

i ran a 13.01 with with my s13 sr20det but the only thing that was stock was the engine, turbo, and ECU... LOL I guess 14.50ish would be quite common for stock swap with stock intercooler, stock boost, etc.

Don't forget to get 13s, the driver will need to be good and NOT be smoking crack.

Yeah he has a problem with thinking he is the fastest shifter in the world, the only problem is he cant drive a manual for ****, he kills every car he drives, and he doesnt have a manual he has an auto, but yet he still thinks he is the best shifter, so he wouldnt even be able to make a upgraded SR run 13s lol

i have both a 13.4 sec 240sx (sr20det) as well as a 5 psd maxima.

the 240 has every bolt on, a fmic, bigass exhaust, 14psi and a good driver

the best i've run in the maxima is a 15.4.

your friend IS on crack. people like this do exist all over the place. the best thing to do is bet him car for car or bet him LOTS of money that this will not happen. if he doesn't want to do it get up in his ****ing face and make fun of him for being an *******.

Thanks alot guys, this is great info, i know SR20s are great engines, see the thing is he contridicts himself so much, he says, "skylines are the fastes cars" then he starts talking about putting a SR in a 240 and then he starts talking about the Silvia, and he always says the 240 and Silvia, are identical, but yet why would a SR in a Silvia be a hell of a lot slower than a SR in a 240,

But thanks a ton for all this info guys, i really appreciate it, cuz he is car illeterate, and thinks my Z is a hunk of crap even though it smokes anything he has. So thanks for the help guys
