Well, I was driving one day and the car just stopped running. I pressed the gas and nothing. Tried to start it and nothing. So I checked the main things. Compression, timing, fuel, and spark. Compression was O.K.. I'm getting 45psi when i turn the key, and I've got good injecter pulse. I tested the wires, their O.K. and I replaced the plugs today (with propper gap). I checked the "mechanical" timing and it's O.K.. I checked the Ignitor and it needed to be replaced so I replaced it and the coil together. So, I've got the 4 things needed to start the car but it still wont start. It picks up speed when I try to start it but it wont start. Is there a way to "test " the computer? I did the trouble code check and it flashed 55, which means no trouble codes. Also, when I did that, I had to turn a little nob. Does the nob have to go back to a certain point, or is any point good? The car is a 1990 and I wan't to get it back on the road. So if you know anything please tell me. Your info and/or advice is greatly apreciated(spelling?).

uh...45?

thats not .. right ...

you should be near 160 ... i believe FSM says 175 to 150 with a 15 psi difference between the cylinders MAX.

Try compression testing again, but this time unplug your distributor, screw it in one cylinder, have someone FLOOR it and crank it 4 cycles (4 stroke motor) if your not 150+ and with less than a 15 psi spread .. you got problems

a tea spoon of oil down the plug hole and give it another turn. see if that raises the compression numbers.

wait, sorry. My compression is at 150psi (around). I could have worded that a little bit differently. I meant my fuel pressure is at 45psi. Sorry.
