is my distributor advanced or retarded?

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

got the car running...only way i can get it to idle is to have the dizzy turned all the way towards the fans...the dizzy is in time. I believe its advanced all the way. i think i have my cams one tooth advanced on the idler sprocket. so all i wanna know is my dizzy advanced or retard towards the fans?

turning the dist. in clockwise fashion will advance it, counter-clock will retard it. If its rotated all the way towards your fans sounds like its as retarded as it will go. Your probably off a tooth on the distributor drive gear.
