Is my cruise acting normally???

I need some feed back as whether my cruise control is operating normally or has a problem. When I am driving on a level road or going up a hill all is fine, when I go down a hill I can feel it coast for a second or two and then engage, this happens back and forth until I get down the slope or hill. It doesn't act like there is much wrong but my other car doesn't do this and I am just curious if this is normal for my 94 Q?? Thanks Wayne

If the speed is relatively constant, probably operating correctly. It must coast then re-engage on an descending incline.

Frankly, I never have used my cruise control going down an incline.

Check the idle air control valve for proper setting and cleanliness.......same with dirty throttle body.
