Is my coupe just stinky or...

When I first turn on my a/c (as in air conditioning) it blows out some strange smell.. not like a death smell but more like a chemical smell. Just for a second and it goes anyway. Anyone else have this problem? I do live in GA where it is humid as crap.. so I dunno if I have mold in there or something.. but I have only had the car a month. Any Ideas?

I rode around for 7 years with the windows down... not even in the rain.. by george I paid for my A/C I'm going to use it. And by the way you didn't notice it was 101 degrees the other day.

Anywho.. I don't really know what it could be like I said its only for like 2 seconds and then it smells like normal a/c. I'll check on it when I get my first oil change.

i noticed this first in my 350z. The dealer told me this, if you let the air circulate cabin only you will build up bacteria, the only way to get rid of it he told me is let air from outside flow in and it usely gets rid of it.

I notice it also in my coupe every now and again.

The cure that i been doing for a while is just turn the system on hot as possible from the outside air, turn off cabin circulate system and it should fix it fast, least it worked for me.

Definitly could be the fact it is on circulate.. Try blowing outside air in first, and then cut the A/C on, plus circulate. Always run the air before you cut the A/C on. And never cut it off, cut it on, cut if off. You'll blow it.

You could try replacing in-cabin microfilter, that fixed it on my 350z and my titan (I do this when it goes stinky)...i think its just a build up of algae/fungus or bacteria
