Last night while driving to work my “SLIP, TCS OFF, and ABS” lights came on. (Oh the red air bag light has been flashing for a few weeks.) My Speedometer registered less than half of the speed I was traveling. My cruise control shut off and when I went to put it back on it flashed quickly until I turned it off. After it sat all night I took it over to a parts store to get the Charging system checked and see if there was any stored codes. On the trip over the speedometer registered normal but the lights were still on. The charging system was normal, the battery was fine. No codes were stored (the Service engine light didn’t come on). When drove the car in to work tonight all the lights were off, with the exception of the air bag light, the speedometer was showed the correct speed and the cruise worked…

Oh yeah I have a 2002 Maxima GLE

Sounds like you have a vehicle speed sensor issue of some kind. All of those systems are based on vehicle speed. It's possible the sensor itself is bad or maybe the gauge cluster is bad (the speed signal runs through the cluster en route to other systems).

Best bet is probably to take the car to a dealer and have them confirm that the VSS signal is the problem. If I recall correctly it's not a horribly expensive sensor so hopefully that's all there is to it.

The airbag light is most likely independent from the others but I'd definitely still look into fixing whatever's causing it.

So the dealer came back with replace right front ABS wheel sensor. 534.93

Replace crash zone sensor.. 506.13

Replace both rear o2 sensors and re calibrate ECM. 658.00...

Go team!!!!!

Looks like I'll dig through the tech support to see some advice...
