True, in Japan the S13 was released in 88/05, by western thought this is '89 model year' usually already... but still, whats the difference between 88 and 89+ ?

Which would be a CA18ET, that's what I was thinking they might have meant by 89+.. but I wanted to know if the safc2 info said anything about whats different

Interesting, I'll have to verify that when I get home. I know it wasn't available in the US, dunno about europe or JDM land. when I get home I'll check FAST ...

the rs-x you talking about was an s12 silvia with a FJ20E motor
16valve t3 2.0L
BUT yes in it's final year the s12 did come with the ca18det NON intercooled!they made a very limited # of these so that's why you don't find them around!like canada never saw the vg30e powered s12 only usa
