is my 1991 240sx really 1989???
How's it going fellas. I just bought a 1991 Nissan 240sx. I was browsing cardomain.com for people with this same car and noticed that basically all of their 240's had a better looking rounder front bumper than mine. I have the paper work and everything and the car is indeed 1991? Why did I get a different bumper? Is there an explanation for this or was I ripped off? Notice how my bumper looks like the 1989 240sx. What do u guys think?
It's possible it was just changed out, or it was in a very minor wreck and got changed for that reason. Or it was in a major wreck and they just did really good work. Shoot, who knows? Just check that Vin # and run a check to find out for sure 
having a sohc engine is also a dead give away that you have a 89-90.
the 89-90 also was a different white from the 91-94. it was more yellow or creamy in color. 91+ was 'hyper white' or something. the fenders on the 1991+ also had plastic extensions on them that yours doesn't have. so if someone DID change the bumper they did the fenders and front under-spoiler too. then they painted it.
