Is Monday Night Football Racist?

Ok so I was watching MNF last night, it was just great great football.

I did hear this comment and thought nothing of it until I read this this morning.

Now I am a white guy in my mid twenties and I admittedly have little experience with racism and off handed comments. I don't see this as an offensive comment just remark about his lack of knowledge of Spanish and in any case the phasing of the question makes no sense to me as a biased comment.

Any thoughts?

I'm 55 and my mom was born in Spain. From my perspective, any idiot that called in and complained or was offended has the IQ, sense of humor and common sense of a rock.

I think it's pretty sad that you have to mind what you say (within reason)because pretty much anything will offend someone. Personally I get offended by the 700 club. I think the Micheal Richards thing was racist, but this was just an attempt at a joke be it lame or not.

I am glad to see I am not the only one here who shares that sentiment.

When someone says to me, "I'm not a racist", that's the surest sign that they ARE.

At any given moment, everyone at some point has unfounded and unsubstantiated negative thoughts about another human being based on their appearance. Period.

Seriously though...I'm not. I hate White/Black/Yellow people in fairly proportionate figures. Just because you're stupid and happen to be black doesn't mean I'm a racist because I don't like you. Cause I sure as hell don't like stupid white people either.

People need to stop worrying about everyone else and mind their own damn business. Someone says something and your little feelings get hurt...GET OVER IT. There's only so far the AWM can be pushed before something snaps... The backlash could be horrendous, and there's not enough liberal lawyers, judges and lobbyists to contain a tidal wave of "Enough is enough".
