I find it somewhat hard to beleve that Joe at Infiniti Of Scottsdale, Arizona is the only dealer to have cheap prices, But why is that if he is the only one?

How does he keep his prices so low?

Is there anywhere I can go to compare OEM prices besides the each dealer?

I like there prices and I mean no offence but its just hard to order parts beccause there very far away and I hate waiting.

With Joe it's not just about the price, it's about the service. When you call to order a part for Joe, he doesn't just key it in and send the part, he'll talk you though the process. I'm not just talking about him trying to sell you a few extra parts, but he (they) make sure you're not going to be missing a small part you'd need once you have everything on the garage floor. Not too mention he'll gladly do some research to make sure you and he are talking about the right part on the right car.

You might find some parts cheaper or even someone cheaper on all the parts, but no one that will "take care of you" like IOS will.

Thats true as well. I just wish there nice people like him near by.

But Joe does rock, Only sugestion is to add regular USPS shipping (little envlope with a stamp) instead of a big old box.

Actually I will ask him and see if he can do it for some gaskets.

No USPS form Joe as they are FedEx only.

The trick is to order before you need the parts so they can be included in a larger order. Shipping specials are particularly good to take advantage.

All three Infiniti dealers in Phoenix area are owned by same consortium, so you might get similar prices, but Joe is the king of service.

For alternatives, check the classifieds Forum.

Dealers all around US sell parts to independent shops at a discount based on their annual volume............some shops get 15-25% discounts. Dealers have a fleet of parts trucks to deliver thes parts to the shops.

Our 3 shops buy inexcess of $1 million in dealer supplied parts.

If you are new in Town, the Parts guys can tell you which independents buy the most parts, a very good indicator off which independent is worth investigating.

Remember I describe the Parts Department as the most profitable department in a dealership, next comes Used Cars, Finance, then Service, with New Cars falling last - if profitable at all.

Independents try to avoid oem parts because they get half the discount from dealers that they get from say NAPA or other national dealers.

"Average annual revenue per employee is about $700,000 for wholesalers; $100,000 for small retailers; and $175,000 for large retailers."

That is very true. I have been working with Bill on my last couple of parts orders since Joe has moved more into a true manager's role. I have to say he's awesome... just like working with Joe except a different name!

Joe is heavily into management now, but any of the people you get will help.

Dan and Frank seem to be good.

The answer is no but one must research a dealer before they buy from them.
