hey wassup guys...this question is to the people who has done it...

is it worth the trouble to get just the engine, transmission and ECU and cut harness instead of the whole clip?

basicly i'm just asking how much trouble would one save if they just got the clip instead of just the motor, transmission, ecu and cut harness...

I've been thinking along the same lines...

I won't be ordering an engine(RB26) until this summer but i'm torn between buying a clip from Night or the engine from Daunttless...I know Night can get me the R33 LSD and the clip is about $1000 cheaper....but daunt offers the RB26 with the RB25 transmission and oil pan fittings....so i'm still undecided...oh yeah and i think Night is closer to me...

IMO clip. granted you have more weight and more to discard but hoses arent chopped and a visual reference is there. not to mention some come with extras......ie...aftermarket goodies.

Clip hands down! It has made things a lot easier... not to forget some things are can be interchanged between the two cars besides the drivetrain. If it is 1K cheaper use the extra $ saved from buying the clip and get the RB25 trans... and sell the 26 trans on ebay or something. Just a thought.
