i finally decided to buy the kenwood unit it looks much better than the pioneer one and had more features, but the DDx512 is the one with out na but can be added later and the DNX5120($420) is one with nav ($616) and navigation is provided by Garmin i already have a mio gps unit(not that good) and i don't travel much on my car but still which should i get the unit with or without gps is the extra $200 worth it bot units are the exact same thing except for the navigation

try bargain with them i guess if you want the navigation. get them to lower it if you can and if you dont plan to install it then say how much lower can you go if you do the install.

if you dont really need it i guess not, just use the road map

but really its up to you what you want from your headunit.

good luck and show us some pics when its in!

No dont do it man! I have had both Tom Toms and now a Garmin. the Garmin is WAY better than the tom tom, and it already has north america and europe in it. (tom tom doesnt). Also if your ever walking somewhere you can tell the Garmin your walking not driving and it can send you different routes a car coudlnt go. And the last thing i would do is have it installed in the car! its just so much more convienient being able to take it wherever with you. And what about when you eventually get a new car?

Thats just my oppinion anyway.. oh and for the extra $200 you would be putting into the head unit you could get a pretty nice Garmin that you could move car to car.. tell me what you decide!
