Is it worth getting a 1990 240sx sohc with a rebuilt transmission, engine, and new clutch????

Or should i just wait to find a dohc, and is there that much of a difference in performance????

I like SOHC, but many people swap them for DOHC. Boosted they are comparable. I say get the best body you can find and the motor can be anything. I like the way they handle and you can u-turn in a street with out doing a 3 point,(at least i have been able to).

They are good engines. mine last one lasted 250k before letting the ghost out. beat a few swapped hondas with it too. A B16A teg and a LS/Vtec teg.

I paid $500 for my first hatch stock auto stuck in Drive. $1400 for a Clean auto coupe which now needs new guides.

When they break the chain can eat thru the front cover and bust into the water jacket. I hope my front cover didn't get chewed up yet, but It sounds like my guides are noisey so I am doing it before it kills itself.
