Hey all in the land of Z. This is my first real post... I've been a member here for a while now, just never neded to ask a question because I know how to search haha, but anyway back to my question...

I had the fortune to come across an auto 90 Z32 2+2 for 900 bucks... sounds great so far right? Well it dosent run, but there is a slight chance I can get it running (long story, I can post it for you if you really want to hear it), no radio, horried yellow paintjob (original color was silver), passenger seat back is torqued if that makes sense, the trim of the passenger T-top where it meets the window needs replacing or fixing, and the interior overall needs a little loving.... did I mention the cantalope cannon exhaust and "ferrari" tail lights?

Aaaaanyway, basically I want to know if $900 is a good deal for a Z shell in this condition haha, cuz if I can't fix it that's basically what I am buying right? (has visions of sexey 2+2 TT zipping through head) If not, then how much is a good price to try and bring him down to?

Sorry if I sound dumb, but I'm still learning about Z's and don't quite know the worth of a shell...

Keep in mind I'm not the richest guy on the block and I'd have to sell my baby if I get it to run/swap which is a hard thing for me to even think about...

Thanks for your help all, I know you won't steer me wrong!

The only way to answer this question is to determine if it is worth it to you. Are you going to be able to do the work yourself for relatively little money, or are you going to have to send it to a shop to have a lot of stuff done?

$900 doesn't sound like a bad price, but I've not seen the car. It sounds like it's been wrecked pretty good at some point and fixed poorly. Put it on a frame machine to have checked before buying. That could be the most expensive part of it since you need a special machine to fix that.

And if you'd have to sell your baby to afford to finish fixing it, then it doesn't sound like it's worth it to you.

I Say if you are equipped for the work go for it, if however you are not capable of doing the work yourself hold out and buy the car you want

Thanks for the replies guys. I do plan on doing all the work myself. I don't claim to be an expert or anything like that, but I am focused on becoming an ASE master tech (crosses fingers).

From what I've been reading Z's can be a handful and can get expensive fast. That's why I was wondering about the price, because I just can't pass up a sale and a dream. haha

Thanks again.
