Is it worth buying?

I have a chance to buy a 1990 300 ZX 2 +0 na with manual transmission with 200,000kms on it. It is in good shape except for the engine has "low engine knock" and guy says probably needs a new engine.
I just purchased a 1990 300 ZX 2 +2 na automatic same colour 1&1/2 months ago in great condition. Is it worth it to buy a second for parts? Wasn't sure if door, hood, front bumper.... will fit my 2+2.
Any advice would be great. Most likely would be interested in parting out a lot for our members as well.

You would not be able to use many of the body parts as the 2+2 and 2+0 have differing dimensions, enough so that you'd want a 2+2 for body parts. Mechanically they are the same other than body-specific support pieces and such.

As for body parts, everything from the dash and forward are interchangeable(including front seats and inner door mechanical stuff and a few other items like rear tail lights).
If you have the room for it and is a fairly good deal, I'd buy it. These things are becoming harder to find. I did the same thing few years back and parting out the parts paid for itself three times over; Also I got all the swap part need for personal use.

Just to be clear, the hood, doors, hatch- everything you mentioned except the front-forward parts mentioned will not work for a 2+2 so if it's those parts you need, you will need a 2+0 for those parts.
As mentioned a parts car CAN get some return funds for your work, but be careful to get something that covers your needs first...personal experience here.
Good Luck!

Thank you.
I'm very lucky to have my 300 ZX in such good condition. No rust, very minor chips on the paint, and some little dings. So body parts are not necessary right now. Tires, rims, engine parts, electrical harnesses, front end body parts, all could come in handy in the future. Might have to flip a coin.
