I HAVE A KA24E (SOHC) i just found out my im not getting compression in the head and it could be my that my valves are messed up, bent valves or warped head! The current head has been resurfaced, ported and pollished b4 so im thinking resufacing it wont be a good idea I found a new machined Head on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ories

I also was looking @ buying a DOHC KA24DE complete engine i found for $350 with 75K Now my question is is it worth buying this head and going through all the work of buying and getting new springs valves n have a shop do it or jus get the DOHC and swapping it in! I really need this car running cuz im leaving for school in a few weeks and its my only vehicle! If u guys got any suggestions on what would save me more money and be less of a hassle WOULD REALLY REALLY BE APPRECIATED! Thanks again NICO!!

Here the head link again >>>> http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ories

my vote goes towards the dohc swap, if your pressed for time you dont got to wait for the head to come in the mail

its not that hard, replacing the head would be the easiers route though
