Yes but now you have a car that really isnt worth anything and you just dumped all that money into it. thats just my opinion though. Another thing i forgot to ad was a car with a good platform to modify for big horsepower.
Actually, in some cases it can be worth a little more than it started if you find the right buyer... and regardless... new or old, the cars are going to lose value. In most cases they won't ever be an investment and if they are, will usually take a while of losing value before they gain in value.

Anyway... even if its worth nothing you still have a faster car that is a lot of fun compared to a new, stock, car that is only mildly fun that is still continually losing value at a high rate.

You'll rarely if ever get your money back on mods.

I have over a grand in suspension mods. Another $600 in brakes, $150 in exhaust, and $550 in rims. If I'm lucky, I'll get $2000 for my car.

I constantly see people with $10k, $20k, $30k, in upgrades and selling their cars for a couple grand more than Blue Book.

If you're going to do the mods, do them for you, not for the resale value. You WON'T get it back.

That's why I said worth a little more than it started... I definitely know you'll never get out of it what you put in to it but in some cases it will raise a small amount to some people.
