Car: 92 240 hatch running on hopes and dreams

Ok, I have a 92 hatch with stock ka24de. i just fixed a head gasket problem and i know i have all of that situation squared away. my problem now is that it doesnt want to start. it will turn over. i pulled the plugs and every one of them are drenched in gas. so i blew out the cylinders, cleaned the plugs, put it back together, then unpluged the injectors. NOW IT STARTS! of course it dies as soon as i plug them back in. when i drove it home the other day. it had NO power when i mashed the gas untill about 4000 rpm, then it opened up like a mad man. when i say no power i could floor it 5th gear doing 70 up hill and nothing. it would just slow down. it even idles like crap. like it has a miss. when i rev it up its like a very big turbo on it lagging till about 4000 rpms then there it is. it climbs very slow. it has a new fuel filter, plugs, wires, cap and rotor, pcv valve, all new gaskets and vacuum lines. its all torqued and put together like its supposed to. I dont know what to do. Any help will be very much appreciated. thanks

P.S. I just went and checked the injectors, they are all sqirting great and not leaking down. So i dont think thats it. I was wondering if the cts or tps would cause this if bad? what about iacv? i pulled the codes on the ecu and i got 34---knock sensor. i know this has something to do with timing but would it cause this. I cant get the car to start now for some reason and still the same code. I dont know. Someone please help! I'm moving tomorrow or the next day.

how did you check the injectors?you need to check them with a noid light to see if they are pulsing.

i pulled the fuel rail off with the injectors intact and bumped the motor over. every injector is pulsing perfectly in sync so my assumption is they are working fine. none of them are leaking down either.

Sounds like timing to me. Are you positive that you got the cam timing correct when you did the h/g? If that's good, then throw a timing light on it and check your ignition timing. If it's too far advanced it will crank kinda slow, idle poorly and possibly cause the knock sensor code. Check that and let us know!
