Is it time for a new gear set?

Well I have a few questions and yes i have been searching for about a hour or so and I found the answer to some of this but here it all is again. 1.) about 6 months i put in a new clutch... ( i didnt replace slave cylinder) and the slave cylinder blew.... ok rush hour traffic could not get the clutch to disengage so i shifed into second without using the clutch... i cried.... but ya i did it and ever since then after replacement and countless flushing and bleeding i cant go into 2nd over 15 mph or i get a absolutly disgusting grind... so i think i blew my syncros but i have never abused my transmission b4 this day.... and i have read over and over how strong the sr transmission can be... so what do you think? ok second lately when i give it alot of gas in 3rd i hear a little really really feint grinding untill i push on the shifter then it goes away... so i think its trying to fall out of gear? what are all of your thoughts on this?

if you knew how to revmatch you could have easily shifted without using the clutch.try flushing your trans fluid and refill. be sure to look for any brass or metallic shavings in the oil/drain plug. if you see brass, its your syncros. metal shavings would be from your gears. if you see any metal, its time for a rebuild/new(new new or new to you IE used) trans or gearset.good luck.

Ok well im going to drain my fluid this weekend and i hope to find that there is very little shavings of any kind... *crosses fingers*
