My car is being really slow. This after noon I drove it to go get registerd and it was normal clutch was working fine car rolled smooth in nuetral. Then drove it home normal. And then drove it again about 1/2 an hour later and it felt like something was slowing me down like the Emergency brake was on and then it got worse because i had the gas pedal all the way down to the floor and was only doing 30mph, then i put it in nuetral to see if it would roll but it felt like the Ebrake was on. I steped on the brake pedal and it felt super super super stiff. And it took a lot of effort to get going from a stop sign died on me twice. My car Manual transmission. Last time i posted this i was told that i needed to replace the clutch but was never answered on the brake question. The clutch still feels good its not slipping at all and it smells like burning brakes from the rear?

Ditto... sounds like your pins are frozen, if it is the rears, I have some extra ones i'll sell cheap, I got the jdm subframe that came with newer ones, p.s. to cheak them put a wrench on the bolts and try to lossen them, if they do not loosen relativly easy that is your problem, also check for excessive pad wear on one side or the other

Also i just rembered that i had tighten the nut on the ebrake to adjust how far you pull it because i got like 19 clicks so i adjusted back to 7~8 clicks so it was tighter . Would that be it Since it would be pulling the cable more should i loosen and the check the bolts. And which bolts should i loossen the ones to take off the caliper . And yes they have worn down since last i checked the front have more than the back. Thanks for the help.

well the fronts will wear quicker than the rears, check the outside pad wear in comparison to the inside pad, at each corner. check the bolts that hold the actual caliper to the bracket, basically the first bolts you take off when replacing the pads, there should be two per caliper, i belive they are 14mm, also do you have any brake pulsation that started when this happened? i.e. are the rotors getting extremly hot? also make sure your e-brake is actually releasing when you put it off

Brake pedal doesnt vibrate All though the rotors in the rear are getting extremly hot made the mistake of touching it. And buy releasing it do you mean I can hear it now that i lossened the nut on the ebrake I can hear it strecthing and going back to normal but before when i tightend it no all i heard was stretching. Ill check the pads tomarrow .

hopefully, the piston in the caliper isnt seized. in that case, depending on damage, you might have to get new caliper, or rebuild yours
