While I was having a full tune up on my car the mechanic said that I was missing all my brackets for my muffler.

My question is, how much would it cost to let a mechanic replace my brackets for my muffler, and is there any where I can buy the brackets online?

No, you have to go to a local shop and pay a couple bucks to have the guy weld on some brackets.

What the hell is a muffler bracket? Hanger? Flange? Seal?

probably the hanger. And it is a very bad idea to run without them. 240's are not equiped with flex pipes like many cars, so if the exhaust system gets jarred around enough it cracks manifolds, sheers bolts, ect.
