ok , heres the deal my turbo is dieing , I picked up a replacement turbo a hks gt2510 , i also picked up some supra 440cc injectors , but my question is it safe to drive the car with the new turbo using the stock wastegate , im not looking for power gains i just need to get my car back on the street , eventualy im going to up the psi with the new injectors and have it properly tuned on a dyno, so would it be safe with stock wastegate actuator, i just dont have the extra cash for chipping the ecu and dyno tune at the moment

and btw this is not one of those how much power can i achieve from stock injectors post , im just trying to get my car running again

your fine.

iirc on I6s you can usually use the estimate 1cc=1hp. so on your stock injectors of 370, u could prob go 300-350 safely

are u installing the injectors at the same time? if u install them and have some sort of piggyback then u are ok. with the stock wg on that turbo ur gonna be gaining more hp which will max ur injectors out sooner than the stock turbo. i think u will still be ok but id say put a wideband on there just to watch the numbers and be safe...

im running a hks 2530 on stock injectors using the rb20det stock wastegate actuator.

at WOT it hits the boost cut. So I usually only give it half throttle and it still moves pretty quick. I also try not to rev above 5k. Im working on getting injectors and a power fc. I just spent lots of cash on suspension though and the turbo upgrade was unplanned.

Does anyone know how the RB's actuate the boost cut? If it's pulling fuel, and not timing, be careful man. I've seen other motors melt pistons just from hitting the top speed fuel cut too many times.

I would agree with the rest, you should be fine if you continue to drive like you're trying to save on gas mileage.

nissan motors pull fuel as a rev/speed/boost cut, so like david_nismo said be wary of hitting it.i think thats what did my motor in to be honest, i was hitting the limiter and didnt realize it, i thought i was blowing out the spark but turns out there are TWO limiters that you have to adjust in the ecu for revs....
