Youve got a 240sx with a CA18DET and need to change the water pump? Youll need to remove the upper and lower timing cover, water pump pulley, and crank pulley. The bolts holding on the upper timing cover are 4mm allen (i think) and the bolts on the lower cover are 8mm. You will probably have to remove the timing belt and then re-time the engine afterwards. Its probably an hour, hour and a half job, nothing too tough. Youll need a water pump from an 87 s12 200sx with a ca18et.

If youve got a stock 240sx with a ka24 I will be glad to have your thread moved to the appropriate forum.

Last, welcome to NICO!

Ah, disregard my instructions then. its not hard to do at all, and the pump shouldnt run you a whole lot. $80 sounds very fair, does that include the pump itself? or is it just labor?

This needs to be moved to the KA forum, but you should be able to find your answer if you search.

heres a writeup on how to do it yourself. Doesnt look very hard at all.
