Is it possible to tune a j4 ecu?

Is it possible to tune a j4 ecu? I was recently told i could not and this really messes with the fasct i have a garage full of upgrades i just picked up. If possible give insight into how its mcu functions in difference to a regular ecu

never heard of such an issue. i have a J4 ECU and i havent had too many issues with tuning.

(for those of you who are unaware, the J4 ECU is from the late model Kouki 180SX. It utilizes some S14 sensors IIRC)
