My ka24de in my 98 frontier went out and i want to swap it with a vg33e and wonder how hard it is and what is needed and if it would adapt to fit my 5 speed

4x4 or 2wd? With a 4x4 its possible. You need the 4x4 motor mounts, Transmission, and Tcase all in one, but later 4x4 trucks came with it, so the best bet is a donor truck.

They never did build a V6 2WD D22 to my knowledge though, so parts sourcing might be a little tougher. They did put V6s in earlier D21 2wd up to maybe 1995 or so. The block is pretty much the same, but you'd need the 2wd V6 trans to go with it. The 4 banger and V6 transmissions don't interchange.

I currently have a D22 2000 Frontier XE 3.3L VG33E V6 that is 2wd that comes stock for that year with a 5 speed so im not fully positive if it will mate with the 5 speed in the KA24DE but I surely seems plausible
