Is it possible to swap a 350z 6spd MT into a 3rd gen altima?

Asking the question for a friend who wants to do a swap, was looking into the SE-R 6spd but are too expensive now.

Use a VQ35DE from a Maxima or 3.5 Altima and it should not be an issue at all. (other than actually getting it to work)

the SE is faster than the SE-R. the SE-R is heavy and the gearing of the SE-R makes it slower.

Get an 02-04 SE 5-speed...it'll be your best bet. the 05-06 had issues if you applied headers

Correction, the 02 SE is faster than the SE-R. No one knows why, but the 02's are also known for self destruction.

The 350Z transmision will not work because it is a longitudinally mounted engine not a transverse like the altima.
