is it possible to run the stock by pass valve open to the atmosphere?

I have a question about the stock sr side mount intercooler, and by pass valve. I am using a stock sr side mount on my ka, and I do not believe i have the part that will let me recirculate it, so i am wondering can i / have any of you guys ran the stock bypass valve open ( not recirculated) is this possible? I have safc so I will not have to worrie about the car running ritch

also is it better to use the stock intercooler shroud, or run with out it?

It will run, but much worse than even an open BOV. At idle and through the powerband the recirc constantly leaks air. it can afford to do this simply because it will rbe recirced. Dont do it.
