Without pulling the motor? Everyone I have talked to seems to think it is impossible.

Howdy!
There are loads of folks here with experience, but in order to thoroughly help, you'll have to paint a more colorful picture for us.
What year/make/model?
Which stud?
Is the exhaust leaking?
What caused the problem?
Photos are infinitely helpful, too.

This is a V6 2005 Murano SL. You can hear the exhaust leak when the car first starts then it goes away after the engine warms up. I had a guy replace the cat because it had a hole and he found the broken bolt but didn't want to pull the motor to fix it. Honestly I don't either. I usually do my own car work, but I just don't have the time anymore.

I'd try to be more helpful, but all of the photos of your engine bay I see on an image search are of the stupid engine cover.

Looks like it will come down to checking it out yourself to see if you can maneuver a set of pliers, vice grips, or Dremell in there (to cut a groove for a flat head screw driver) between either the radiator or fire wall to see if you can turn the stud at all. The best bet is probably removing the actual manifold to get really good access or clearance to turn what is left of the stud. Granted, you don't have the time to do it yourself, but maybe if you can see that it is feasible, you can tell a mechanic specifically what is wrong and maybe they'll just remove the exhaust, the manifold, and then go to work getting that broken bad boy out of there.
