Has anyone accomplised this?

What would I need to do this? Better struts, sway bars, springs sticky tires? Or is it not that easy?

The S14 pulls .89-.91 G's stock right?

I think a stock s14 pulls.88 to be honest, and I am not sure exactly, but I bet it is possible, but don't quote me on that!

ONe of those magazines has........... superstreet or whatever. They got JIC coilovers, struts, some 17" rims with rubber and some minor stuff. They pulled 1.1 something g's........ or was it 1.2?

They kept up with a stock wrx even with a 150hp car compared to a 220 hp wrx

That was Import Tuner, and it was an S14 SE.

JIC coilovers come with struts.I threw out the mag, but it had coilovers, sway bars, strut bars (I believe), tension rods, rear toe links (I think), and control arms.

The import tuner with the 96 SE did .87 stock. With their mods it did 1.08g

To answer the question yes, a S14 could do over 1g with minor suspension/tire mods.

"Minor" is probably 2-3k worth of mods. Springs, dampers, camber plates, control arms, sway bars, strut bars, etc.

A 240 could do over 1g completely stock only with autox tires on it.

Too bad those tires don't last too long...

ehh.. You think it would gain .13g from just tires? It would need some camber adjustment i'd think at the very least. But maybe with R compound tires it would do it. But that 1.08 was with dot tires.

Are you talking in theory, or do you want this for your car? I'd bet you could get really close with just a set of Hoosier R3SO3s or even Toyo RA-1s (both DOT tires btw). If not, I'm sure lower, stiffer springs (which would add some neg camber) with better sway bars would get you past 1g (btw, dampers have very little effect on steady-state cornering, so would not help much here). Not very practical though, unless you like buying tires evey 2-3K miles.

I was thinking of getting the Whiteline Sway bars, Whiteling Spirgs, KYB Struts, new busings and a front strut tower bar.

I have Kumho tires. I am wondering how close to a G I could pull off with that.

I'll be getting better/wider tires after I use these up with the turbo!

i think 1g+ is highly possible with basic suspension mods. get some stiffer and lower struts and springs and possibly some better wheels/tires would put u up to 1g i would think
