I'm wondering what is a good product to use to paint springs. You know how sometimes a spring ends up missing a piece of paint. Or what could I use to coat them? You ever see that stuff they use to coat the handles on tools. It is like a rubber compound. I think it would stretch and flex with them. I think alot of people would like to know this too since it is a good preventative measure and maintence. NO I DON'T WANNA RICE THEM UP! Theres my flamer guard I was hoping to paint/coat them a un-noticeable color.

Well thats the first thing I thought about, but I don't want it to come off again and most spray paints are pretty crappy. I want it to look good and protect them but not be noticeable.

Why do you need to protect your springs?

i got two words for ya powder coat its kick *** i got a powder coating set up in my shop i went to harbor freight and got the powdercoatin system for 100 bucks then you need an elec oven and some way to clean your parts i have a sandblast cabnet it works great then you need the powder paint you can get it in any color from black to ghetto gold it kind of exspesive to set up but once you do its nice to have around. you can get your springs coated at a coating shop for a few dollars less then you can set a system up your self, i do alot of custom work out off my shop so i chose to set myself up,it cost me 150 for the system and the ovens, but you have to have a compressor wich i allready had and offcourse a blast cabnet wich i allready had,but if you got the space and epuipment you can make some cash doing it for other peps i would charge 250 for your springs and the coating would last for 10 years or better
