Is it possible to competitively drift with leaf spring rear suspension?

Nissan dominates the drift scene - Always has, always will.

its a little off topic for 240's, but i have a car powered by a 240sx engine but it has rear leaf springs. i want to drift, does anyone know of any competitive drift car that has this type of rear setup? i know that the mustangs that drift have the independent rear as do the 240's. the leaf spring suspension tends to hop, you cannot camber the rear, there has to be something that can stabilize this car in a slide. i have a datsun 510 station wagon by the way, it would look soo awsome sideways with tons of smoke, flared rear end, super wide off set wheels, etc... any advice welcomed!

i was hoping for more infinite wisdom, i know a custom spring shop that can make me some real stiff leaf springs, it is even worth the effort?

d1 is not a goal of mine, i do have and s14 but the wagon would look cooler going sideways. i want to be able to drift very well, ill most likely add a rack and pinion from a miata for better steering, then some stiff leafs, im putting in 280zx brakes and struts in the front coverted to coilovers. i will most likely weld the diff, stiff the leafs, but even mustangs with stiffer leafs tend to sway, fishtail and hit on-comming traffic "as seen on streetfire".
