is it possible to change settings for auto door locks?

So, I have a friend who has a 2006 Altima 2.5S, and there has been some times when the car decides to automatically lock the doors while the keys are inside... just for no apparent reason really. one time it happened within 30 seconds of closing the door, one time it happens within 5 or so minutes after closing the car door.

is there the dealership, or SOMEONE can change the settings on that? or is the car just crazy?!
