Are you aware the GTR is AWD. Good luck using the AWD skline trans. Many people are now entering the 240 world with big plans of skyline motors. This is the third such post I have read tonight. Yes, search.

alright buddy, your getting into some serious stuff. First off, your gonna have to switch that auto to a standard which from my own experience is a heck of a lot easier with the engine out, so I hope you have a daily driver. Second, to successfully pull off a skyline swap you are gonna need a lot of help from friends and at least one experienced mechanic. My suggestion is you go for a smaller engine, or consider rebuilding your KA into a KA-T. Or go for something like a CA18det, capable of massive ammounts of HP if you tune it right and you can get an engine set for less than an SR, all the while you are staying street legal and you can whoop the **** out of a poopra or domestic . As for your general price range, around here I'll list it as such:rb26dett - 5500sr20det - 1500ca18det - 1300rebuilding KA for roughly 500hp - 5500. enjoy.....

dont worry, i got this. ben, its paul.

240rb26 is a long time friend of mine that wants an RB in his 240. he's in germany right now [army], and he is comming back around december. once we get what he wants straightened out, this should be rolling by spring.

im gonna be doing the swap, but hes trying to figure out exactly what he wants.

first off, your in the wrong section.

go to the skyline forum from the main page, and then into the rb section.

the rb26 is a stronger motor than the rb25, but its much more expensive. get to the rb section, and then we will try to steer you toward the right combination.

i thought the RB engines weren't street legal in the US.
