Is it ok for my Pistons to move a little??

I have a 95 240 with the ka24de motor that has been built. My mechanic has my head off right now and the pistons move a little side to side? My mechanic seems to think the guy who built the bottom end screwed up as the motor only has about 2k miles on it. Any opinions?

Your pistons shouldnt move side to side bro.
