So today I drove my car about a mile to my house. I had my boost controller at 13lbs, and I only got on it for a few seconds as I pulled onto the highway, but I never redlined it or anything. The car drove perfectly fine. There were no unusal pops or jerks or anything. I got home, shut the car off and got out. I noticed smoke coming out of the hood so I opened it. On the drivers side there was a crap ton of oil all over, definitely not something you want to see. Thinking it was a turbo seal or something I took the heat shielf on the turbo off, which was coverd in oil. When I took it off there was no oil on the exhaust manifold or turbo, except a little that had dripped onto it. I could see and oil draining out of anywhere. After a little while of just loking, I started the car up. It started fine so I looked under the car and around the engine and there was no oil coming out. I had to drive it to work as its my only form of transportation, and it did fine. I drove it like a granny, but it did fine to and from. Im extremely puzzled. From what I could see it looked like it was coming out from under the valve cover where it meets the head. Is this possible? I made sure the valve cover bolts were nice and tight. Someone told me to try an oil catch can, which I already ordered. I want to replace the hoses coming off the valve cover, but I can't find them anywhere. Anyone know where I can find them? Another person told me that its possible that I have a pinhole somewhere and it might only leak when it build up enough pressure. He said to go out and get on it real quick and see if it leaks then.

Like I said, the car is still running fine, except for the idle isn't as smooth now but its not necessarily rough. Does anyone know what the heck is going on??

Thanks

get some pics! Could be a valve cover gasket giving way or simply your oil feed line seeping. I don't think it's a head gasket obviously but also check your turbo inlet and see if any oil is there.

There is absolutely no oil on the turbo. And I should have taken pics, I know. I've already cleaned it though. The valve cover gasket is new, but Ill take it off tomrorow and check it

Could have come out from the breather T FITTING on the valve cover

Check your oil lines. The oil banjo bolts on the block might have backed out a little bit if you are still using the OEM water/turbo line setup. Or as stated valve cover T fitting.

As far as replacing the hoses on the VC I used heater hoses with Teflon coating on it. More expensive but you need a high temp resistant hose. That OEM stuff is junk and it melts. lol.
