is it normal to have oil all over intake?

I've got oil all over my intake. On the inside of the pipe, and on the outside around the pipes. There is enough that it spreads to the other hose under the pipe too. What's up with that? PEACE. Tek.

no, that is not normal. something aint right but i cant tell ya since i cant see it firsthand. sorry

yea, thats not normal!you said its on the inside and out? try to clean the area so you can tell where exactly its coming from. or post a pic cause im lost.

Oil blow by... YOu can try to use a oil catch can they work pretty good to remedy that problem.

no its not that. the tube that connects to your valve cover "blow by tube" if its excessive then it cant be that, that develops over time and he said its on the outside as well. the only thing he can do is to clean up the area and then run it till you see when its coming from then go from there!

yeah, I'm guessing it's been like that for a long time though. The car also had a seeping VCgasket. So there is literally a quarter inch of Oil/grime/dirt caked everywhere. I've got to degrease the engine a couple times, then I can probably see where it's coming from. Thanks. PEACE. Tek.
