Might be like my dsm. I was rebuilding her because of a snapped timing belt and put crower cams, titanium valve springs/retainers, and 3 angle valve seats along with the port and polished head. It took a while because of waiting on parts, etc so the car sat for a while with no head or pistons, oil, water, etc in the car, just the bare block, crank, and transmission. After putting it all back together a week later my water pump blew from sitting without coolant for so long. The seal went which sucked b/c it was run on my timing which ment I had to re time my motor, take a motor mount out, a bunch of stuff. Anyway point being when they go, they go in force normally. I had leaked out 2 gallons of coolant in like 3 minutes. Quickest way to know exactly is to rent a coolant pressure tester from shucks/checkers, napa, autozone, whatever or find someone with one (they cost upwards of $150 new), slap it on there and look for the water comin out!
