180k miles on my KADE. I replaced my radiator a few months ago, everything was fine. The other day, i noticed my temp gauge started to go above normal (middle) to the hot side, but it dropped back down. I drove it for a few more days. Today, it shot up all the way to H, but i didnt' smell anything no leaks no nothing. I changed the thermostat jus incase. But it does the same thing. But, a few days ago, i did notice the belts sqeaking...it did it once when i cranked the wheel(power steering), and did it again when going straight... So is this overheating problem my water pump? I'm gonna try to burp it today to see what happens. thanx in advance

Overheating:Did you flush/bleed the coolant when changing these things?overheats @ idle? driving/cruising?

Noise:Did you remove any pulleys/belts when replacing the radiator/thermo? stock fan, clutch fan? If you did, are you sure you properly tightened them.

I didn't do all that after the thermostat...thats y i said i'm gonna try that today and see what happens. I couldn't get it to overheat while idling for like 10 min, but it does overheat when driving, the needle would be in the middle then shoot up to H. I don't smell anything, jus the temp gauge is at H.

I only removed the stock fan only and its tightened. Everything is stock

One thing i did notice tho, i'm not circulating any heat inside the car when i blast the heater on..??

so all that made me think its the water pump, but i'm not seein anything leakin there...so seein what you guys think...

thanx...

Ok, first things first, bleed teh system of any air. that is your most likely problem.

If it still overheats, from the way you are describing it (and it isn't the air), then the thermostat was installed improperly - which is keeping it shut during driving.

then it will finally be the water pump.

but 90% sure, it's just the air in the coolant system super heating.
